“ Went in for dinner which was recommended by my tour guide. Service was friendly and fast, even though it was pretty busy. The clam chowder was creamy and the lobster roll was generous with the meat and was quite tasty. Definitely would come back next time I am in Boston. ”
“ A solid tavern with historical significance. I stopped in after visiting Bunker Hill. Built in 1870, this is a must stop location for anyone who appreciates history or a good drink. I ordered a snack of chicken dumplings (pot stickers). They were delicious and had the perfect crunch. There are many beers and other drinks on tap. ”
“ Good ales, beer, IPAs n grub! Great burgers and local dishes such as chowder or other fried delicacies like the cauliflower bites. We went for Harpoon IPA (positively good), and the Liberty burger and fries. Plus the Cajun burger and sweet potato fries. Both great, large dishes packed with flavour. The nachos with beef to start are worth a mention too. Spicy, cheesy and crunchy. The service was excellent and friendly! ”
“ On our second day in Boston, after roaming around, I wanted to find a nice spot for my cousin’s birthday dinner. I did some research and we decided to try the Warren Tavern since it had great reviews, one of the historical tavern in the US, was open late, and offered both indoor and outdoor seating. The only downside was the parking, it was really tough. As tourists, it wasn’t easy to find a spot. The restaurant staff suggested parking in the residential area, but we were worried about getting in trouble. At one point, someone even asked if we were residents, and of course we weren’t, so we had to keep looking. Eventually, we ended up parking at a nearby 7-Eleven, grabbing a few items so we could leave the car there, which honestly saved the night! Once we got inside, it was all about the food, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the lump crab cakes, New England clam chowder, fish tacos, and lobster mac and cheese. Since it was chilly both outside and inside (and pretty loud, too!), we stuck with warm water to drink. The service was excellent, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The only dish that didn’t wow me was the fish tacos, but that’s just because I’m used to San Diego style tacos, which are very different. These felt more European/English in style. Still good, but the other dishes stood out more for me. Overall, we had such a great experience. The food, the service, and the cozy vibe made it worth it, and I’m extra grateful there was a 7-Eleven nearby so we could park and enjoy a wonderful birthday dinner. ”
“ Solid pub grub, outstanding service and more so as the server is managing multiple tables at a venue where by not long after midday on a Saturday there is a queue at the front door. It is noisy, in part due to outside voices being using inside. One chap at a table 12 feet away was so loud I I heard everything that was said. Pricing was $39 for chowder, salad with chicken and tip. How much of this is inflation and tariffs led is unclear. It is expensive though for a simple meal. Not the establishments fault. Breakfast at another pace cost me $15 for oatmeal and a coffee! Swing by for atmosphere (and noise), great service and solid food. Be aware tiny toilets! ”
